We’ve purachased the SHIN-NIPPON DL-1000 Auto Lensmeter which is the top of the line and best-equipped model made by the renowned Japanese manufacturer Rexxam. It is used to measure the dioptric value of glasses and contact lenses.
It can be used to determine the value of any other parameters in toric and multifocal lenses in order to supplement any classic dioptric correction; the cylinder and axis for toric lenses and also addition for multifocal lenses.
The device enables the measurement of monofocal lenses, multifocal lenses, progressive lenses and contact lenses (soft and hard) and rough lenses up to a diameter of 100 mm. It has a function for automatically recognising types of lenses and automatically detecting the long and short-sighted sections of any multifocal lenses. It further offers the option of measuring the transmission of UV radiation and the pupillary distance.
